Too-ticky

Too-Ticky, based on Tove Jansson’s lifetime partner, Tuulikki Pietilä, is a gentle giant who lives in harmony with nature and the creatures around them.
Too-ticky is part of The Art of the Sea, a special Laine publication that celebrates the Moomins, Tove Jansson’s beloved universe through 23 beautiful knitting patterns inspired by her characters, artistry and philosophy—timeless creations to wear, treasure and share across generations.
The stitch pattern, a variation on half-fisherman’s rib, works especially well with a bouncy 3-ply yarn that has good stitch definition, making the fabric gorgeously squishy. The garment features a generous positive ease for the body, paired with slightly less ease for the sleeves, resulting in a relaxed fit without appearing too bulky.
